Aulea Medical today announced a collaboration with Mayo Clinic to develop a next-generation disposable rigid transurethral scope with a large working channel, designed to replace traditional reusable sheath-and-scope assemblies. The goal for the new Aulea device is to combine multiple functions - vision, fluid, working channel and more - into a single platform, seeking to enable urologists to perform procedures such as urethroplasty and lithotripsy more efficiently—without the need for a second operator or complex instrument trays. Aulea’s urology platform was created to streamline OR workflow by eliminating tool reprocessing and sterilization.
